VOB Specialist - Eligibility Verification

At People First Consultants, we are seeking a highly skilled VOB Specialist to join our team. As a VOB Specialist, you will be responsible for verifying patient eligibility and obtaining prior authorizations for medical procedures and medications.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Initiate and manage calls to insurance providers to obtain prior authorizations.
• Collect and verify patient information and documentation to facilitate the authorization process.
• Follow up on pending authorizations and communicate status updates to healthcare providers and patients.
• Maintain accurate records of all interactions, requests, and outcomes in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure all necessary information is submitted to insurance companies.
• Address and resolve issues related to denied or delayed authorizations by coordinating with clinical teams and insurance representatives.
• Stay informed about changes in insurance policies and regulations affecting prior authorizations.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with EHR systems, web portals, and Microsoft Office Suite.
