Statutory Audit Assistant Manager

We empower merchants with acquiring devices like Soundbox, EDC, QR, and Payment Gateway, and offer commerce services through advertising and the Paytm Mini app store.
About the Role:
As a Statutory Audit Assistant Manager, you will oversee and manage general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes. You will assist with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit. Your responsibilities will include assessing current practices and procedures, making recommendations for improvements, and preparing, reviewing, and analyzing financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
2. Assist with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit.
3. Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements.
4. Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Requirements:
1. 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a portion in a supervisory role.
2. Thorough knowledge of Ind AS GAAP.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of an organization.
4. Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
5. Knowledge of employee relationship building and performance management techniques.
6. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with other financial systems.
Education:
Chartered Accountant.
