About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and coordination of complex structural projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and coordination of structural projects, including the preparation of conceptual studies, designs, and reports.
  • Perform finite element modeling and structural analysis of various steel and concrete structures.
  • Review bid analyses and make recommendations to senior management.
  • Prepare and/or assist in the preparation of cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and staffing requirements for proposals, forecasts, and change orders.
  • Review and check the work of junior team members and provide input for their performance evaluation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4-year degree from an accredited college in Civil Engineering.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a Master's degree in a relevant subject.
  • At least 12-15 years of relevant work experience.

Desirable Skills and Knowledge:

  • Possesses a broad understanding of the major design engineering deliverables.
  • Plans, conducts, and coordinates detailed phases of engineering work.
  • Performs work that involves regular engineering practice but may include complex features such as resolving conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of regular materials, and/or difficult coordination requirements.
  • Performs work using standard application programs and appropriate computer-aided design and computer-aided engineering (CAD and CAE) tools.
  • Coordinates engineering effort in assigned areas between specialty and other engineering groups or disciplines, with the client, suppliers, and contractors, and between other groups.
  • Understanding of engineering planning and control methods, including computerized methods.
  • Understanding of the roles played by other disciplines like Plant Layout and Piping, Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural, Geotech, and Construction.
  • Understanding of industry or regulatory codes and standards and design criteria pertinent to the engineering discipline.
  • Experience in leading a team of designers in EPC and/or big FEED projects.
  • Capable of planning, assigning, guiding, and monitoring work of the team members.
  • Capable of assuring quality of design and associated deliverables.
  • Experience in design of flat slabs, cheese slabs, and dynamic analysis of structures is an added advantage.
