Location:

This role will be based out of our Gurgaon office, and you will have the flexibility to work in the office and from home.

About the Role:

The Associate Editor, Magazine position is critically important to the success of the Taste of Home brand and TMB overall. Reporting to the Senior Editor, the Associate Editor contributes to and supports the editorial direction of Taste of Home's flagship magazine and special-interest publications.

About You:

A creative writer and editor, you have the collaborative spirit necessary to produce quality, on-brand content for books, magazines, and special interest publications targeted toward home cooks. An eager and active contributor to brainstorming, you bring a fresh perspective of what's new and what's next to your work.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Assist in planning and executing editorial content for Taste of Home flagship magazine, special interest publications, and books.
  • Act as project manager on Taste of Home cookbooks as assigned.
  • Contribute to planning meetings for magazine projects, providing creative ideas that work across print, digital, and social channels.
  • Help select the recipes to fill the pages of Taste of Home magazine, special interest publications, and books as assigned.
  • Work closely with art and production team members.
  • Pitch, write, and edit copy for content across channels, adhering to search and affiliate best practices.
  • Contribute to brainstorming for covers, editorial calendars, and TOCs.

You Have:

A bachelor's degree in journalism, English, or Communications, a minimum of two years of experience in editorial roles, demonstrated success in building and maintaining positive relationships with editorial and design team members, an organized, thorough, and deadline-oriented approach to content creation, excellent written and verbal communications skills, experience working with AI tools like ChatGPT and Writesonic to support editorial ideation and content creation, and a high comfort level working with publishing platforms and in tools such as InCopy.
