Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Exadata Database Administrator to join our team and lead the development and sustainment of multiple clients across various Oracle versions and platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Database Performance Optimization: Develop and implement multi-client strategies for optimal database performance and availability.
  • Exadata System Administration: Administer and optimize Oracle Exadata systems (compute nodes, storage cells, InfiniBand).
  • Cloud Database Management: Manage Oracle databases on OCI, including provisioning, patching, backup, and recovery.
  • Cloud Migration: Lead cloud migration initiatives from on-premises to OCI, ensuring seamless data transfer and minimal downtime.
  • High Availability Solutions: Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions (RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate).
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and tune performance using AWR, ASH, OEM, and SQL tuning tools.
  • Automation: Automate database operations using scripting (Shell, Python, Ansible).
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cloud architects and application teams to support hybrid and cloud-native deployments.
Requirements:
  • Production Experience: Minimum 8 years of production database support experience.
  • Large-Scale Support: Hands-on experience supporting large-scale database environments.
  • Exadata Expertise: Proven experience with Oracle Exadata systems.
  • Oracle Skills: Experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, and Grid Infrastructure.
  • Multitenant Experience: Experience with Oracle Multitenant (CDB/PDB).
  • Disaster Recovery: Strong background in disaster recovery planning and execution.
  • Public Cloud Experience: Public Cloud experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) required; OCI certifications preferred.
Nice to Have:
  • AWS Experience: Experience with AWS cloud databases is a plus; AWS certifications desired.
  • Cloud Database Provisioning: Provisioning, backup, restore, and performance optimization of cloud databases.
Essential Functions:
  • Database Design: Design, document, and monitor the database servers.
  • Standards Development: Develop standards and procedures for maintenance and modification of database platforms.
  • Systems Architecture: Provide systems architecture guidance in creating high availability systems.
