Job Purpose

As a key member of the Advanced Analytics team, you will play a pivotal role in developing innovative data-driven solutions using bleeding-edge machine learning algorithms.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business partners globally to define project scope, determine analyses, manage deliverables, present results, and implement models.
  • Apply a broad spectrum of NLP, machine learning, and deep learning techniques to extract impactful features from unstructured data.
  • Develop and implement models that automate underwriting and pricing processes, ensuring desired KPIs are met post-production.
  • Be a thought leader, generating novel approaches to business problems.
  • Stay abreast of AI and machine learning developments.
  • Handle stakeholder requests with minimal assistance.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members, providing support on advanced projects.
  • Gain deeper understanding of Chubb's business and develop expertise in multiple lines of business.

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of ML concepts, including Probabilistic Models, Supervised vs Unsupervised Learning, Ensemble Techniques, Hyperparameter Optimization, and Deep Learning.
  • Strong experience in developing and maintaining machine learning models.
  • Proficient in Python, with expertise in data engineering, transformation, analysis, and visualization.
  • Good knowledge of machine learning tools and libraries, including scikit-learn, h2o, R, and MLlib.
  • 3-10 years of programming experience in Python, including Numpy, Scipy, Pandas, Regex, Matplotlib, and other machine learning libraries.
  • Experience with data and machine learning services using Azure.
  • Experience with Github and RESTful APIs.
  • Knowledge or experience in Big data technologies is an advantage.
  • Ability to work in a team setting, solve problems, and map out solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, multi-tasking, and organization/time management skills.
  • Strong research skills, with the ability to apply new methodologies to varied situations.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Advanced degree in data science, business analytics, computers, statistics, mathematics, or economics.
