We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Strategic Territory Business Development Manager to join our team at Pearson. As a key member of our Higher Education division, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and developing strategic relationships with our clients.

About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for a sales professional who is passionate about delivering results and building strong partnerships. You will be responsible for managing a large territory, identifying new business opportunities, and developing tailored solutions to meet the needs of our clients.

You will work closely with our Trade partners, faculty members, and other stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide expert guidance on our products and services. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build strong relationships and negotiate successful deals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a large territory, identifying new business opportunities and developing tailored solutions to meet the needs of our clients.
  • Work closely with Trade partners, faculty members, and other stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide expert guidance on our products and services.
  • BUILD STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH CLIENTS AND STAKEHOLDERS THROUGH EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business targets and drive revenue growth.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity to ensure we maintain a competitive edge.

$120,000 - $180,000 per annum (dependent on experience), plus bonuses and benefits.

Requirements
  • Graduate or MBA in Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in sales, preferably in Higher Education Print and Digital Products, Ed Tech, or Assessment products.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to analyze data and identify new business opportunities.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Initiative, resourcefulness, and attention to detail.
