Job Overview:

Using your technical ability and attention to detail, you will ensure our critically-important Jira environment and supporting tools are kept up-to-date and fit-for-purpose.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and developing the configuration and structure of our on-premise Jira environment.
  • Utilising supporting tools, including PowerBI and Excel, to capture and analyse datasets around team capacity, performance, and other valuable insights.
  • Crafting and updating documentation around the accurate usage of Jira and other tools, and sharing this knowledge within the team and similar roles.
  • Generating ideas that will assist data and delivery managers to continuously improve our tools and processes.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Exceptional attention to detail, able to follow and develop specific processes to ensure system integrity and stability.
  • Hands-on experience of Jira configuration, including workflows, screens, custom fields, and ScriptRunner.
  • Knowledge of Jira UI configuration, including board configuration, advanced queries using JQL, filters, dashboards, and issuefunctions().
  • Advanced user of Excel, comfortable with data tables and using Power Query to access and transform data from external sources.

Nice To Have Skills and Experience:

  • Experience of using data visualisation tools such as PowerBI to build relationships between datasets to present and interrogate data.
