Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer II

As a key member of the Clear Ventures team, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer II to join our innovative and dynamic group. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and excellence of our products, working closely with our development team to identify and resolve software issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute functional test scenarios, regression tests, and usability tests to ensure the highest quality of our software products.
  • Communicate test results and progress to key stakeholders in a timely and effective manner.
  • Collaborate with our development team to identify and resolve software issues, ensuring seamless integration and high-quality results.
  • Work with our UX, UI, and PO teams to ensure specifications, user interaction, and graphic design meet the highest standards.
  • Write automated tests over existing automation frameworks to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure high execution standards while adhering to project goals and ensuring high-quality results.
  • Work effectively with local and remote teams, maintaining high visibility and effective communication.
  • Be a vocal champion for quality in every phase of the development process.
  • Perform software compatibility tests with different software configurations on multiple platforms.
  • Collaborate with our Customer Success team to investigate customer-facing issues and drive issues to closure.
  • Perform production post-deployment validations, test, and coordinate deployment of hotfixes.

Nice to Have:

  • Strong knowledge of software development life cycle and SQA methodologies and practices.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • 8 to 10 years of overall experience in testing Web-based applications, including 3 years in test automation using Selenium, Java, TestNG, etc.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills.
  • Good knowledge of OOP, Java, Selenium Webdriver.
  • Good experience of writing Selenium scripts and strong Java programming knowledge.
  • Up to speed with modern software engineering tools: version control systems (Git), issue tracking (JIRA), test management (TestRail), build systems (Gradle/Maven), test tools (TestNG/JUnit), continuous integration (Jenkins), etc.
  • Good knowledge of creating and executing SQL queries and parsing DB results as required experience with API testing, RESTful web services, RESTAssured with JSON payloads.
  • Strong sense of ownership, passionate, fast learner, detail-oriented, analytical mindset, perfection seeker.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, people, and collaboration skills. Ability to effectively work and communicate with cross-functional teams in multiple locations.
  • Self-motivated with an ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, strong analytical, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills.
