Aarti Green Tech Limited is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the well-being of employees and maintaining a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- To support the development and implementation of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) policies, programs, and procedures that align with industry standards.
- Providing guidance and training on various safety-related topics, including noise levels, machinery operations, and personal protective equipment usage.
- Conducting risk assessments, identifying potential hazards, and recommending preventative measures to minimize risks.
- Reviewing and updating existing OHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Organizing and delivering OHS training sessions for employees and executives to enhance their knowledge and skills.
- Conducting regular inspections of premises and work areas to identify potential issues or non-compliance with safety protocols.
- Overseeing the installation, maintenance, and disposal of substances and materials to ensure safe handling practices.
- Identifying and addressing any unsafe acts or processes that pose a risk to employees' health and safety.
- Investigating incidents, determining causes, and handling workers' compensation claims in accordance with company procedures.
- Preparing reports on occurrences and providing statistical information to upper management for strategic decision-making.
Requirements:
- Candidates must hold a Degree or Diploma in Industrial Safety or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience working in a steel or heavy machinery plant environment is required.
Compensation and Benefits:
The estimated salary range for this position is between $60,000 and $80,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. Additional benefits include opportunities for professional growth and development, a supportive work environment, and a competitive compensation package.
