About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Solution Architect to lead our Teamcenter transformation project. As a key member of our System Architects team, you will be responsible for defining the overall solution architecture and making key architectural decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze business requirements and existing IT landscape to design a solution for Teamcenter that ensures optimal integration and replacement completeness.
  • Design, implement, and optimize complex Teamcenter solutions and architectures for Siemens Mobility Business.
  • Define and integrate Teamcenter solutions, including interface design to ERP and legacy systems, into the company's ecosystem.
  • Maintain and control rules and guidelines for the implementation process in the project, including change and release process, software selection criteria, customization guidelines, and documentation rules.
  • Oversee the overarching architecture of the system beyond the project period, including maintaining the solution in the running service, solving errors, and optimizing the system with change requests.
  • Work closely with business owners, product owners, supplier's implementation experts, and other experts in the team and across teams.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in computer science, business informatics, or a similar field of study.
  • 10+ years of experience in Teamcenter design and development, configuration, and customization, with a distributed system environment and integration of major software tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of Teamcenter Data Model and its usage.
  • Understanding of end-to-end processes within Teamcenter.
  • Knowledge of integrating different authoring tools to PLM backbone.
  • Experience in various Teamcenter interface solutions, such as Teamcenter Active Integration Gateway and SAP connection with T4S/T4ST.
  • Special experience in Document Management or the collaboration solution SupplierConnect would be a plus.
  • Experience in implementing major projects and change requests, including associated controlling and administration.
  • In-depth knowledge of overall customization possibilities within Teamcenter.
  • Ideal experience in working in agile project teams.
  • Structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working, with experience in global teams and technical leadership/management of employees.
  • Extraordinarily good English skills required due to the global orientation of the role, with German language skills being an additional advantage.
  • Highly self-motivated.
  • Ability to lead change.
