About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager to join our Indirect Tax team at Deloitte. As a Manager, you will be responsible for building and nurturing positive working relationships with teams and clients, with the intention of exceeding client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Explore touchpoints between Indirect taxes (particularly GST law) and technology, working as part of and in collaboration with the IDT team in the firm.
- Ensure a seamless and quality delivery of indirect taxes solutions to clients, mine opportunities with existing clients, and support efforts to get new clients for the Firm.
- Understand the IDT compliance landscape and ideate how technology can be used to make the compliance process more effective, simpler, speedier, and qualitatively superior.
- Appreciate the evolution of GST and Customs law in India and envision how technology can be used to simplify indirect tax touchpoints as part of business processes in trade and industry.
- Conceptualize possible IT products for indirect tax practitioners, such as ITC matching, ITC leakage, Expense-ITC bifurcation, and more.
- Collaborate with senior indirect tax professionals to envision their IT needs, work together to configure products/offering, and enhance their efficiency and provide solutions to client problems.
- Work on specific big-ticket assignments/engagements of IDT more efficiently, deliver the same with the aid of technology solutions, and leverage technology and IT to influence and transform the practice of indirect taxes.
Requirements:
- CA with wide exposure to the use of technology in accounting & tax in Industry/Revenue Service.
- Strong Technical Knowledge, Leadership Qualities, Effective Communication and Presentation Skills, and Persistent and Persuasive.
Location and Way of Working:
Base location: Mumbai. This profile involves frequent traveling to client locations. Hybrid is our default way of working, with each domain having customized the hybrid approach to their unique needs.
