Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cyber Security Consultant with expertise in Microsoft Azure security tools to lead our team's security efforts.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cyber security principles, strong technical proficiency in Azure security services, and a proven track record of implementing robust security measures within cloud (Azure) environments.

This role will be responsible for implementing, troubleshooting, and maintaining security configurations within Azure to protect our organization's assets and hosted data.



Key Responsibilities


  • Implement and maintain security configurations for Microsoft Azure environments, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical systems and data.
  • Hands-on testing and live deployments of new features in Azure security tools such as Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, Azure EntraID, Microsoft Intune, and Azure DDoS, IDS/IPS Protection to detect and respond to security threats effectively.
  • Conduct thorough security assessments and vulnerability scans of Azure infrastructure, identifying and remediating security gaps and weaknesses.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security controls and best practices into Azure-based applications, services, and deployments.
  • Investigate Azure security logs and alerts, security incidents, and help during incident response scenarios to minimize impact and prevent recurrence.
  • Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends related to cloud security, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Automate security processes and tasks using scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
  • Participate in security architecture reviews and provide guidance on designing secure Azure architectures and solutions.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance and support on Azure security-related matters.


Qualifications


  • Experience in cyber security roles, with deep knowledge on Microsoft Azure cloud security.
  • Experience in other security platforms related to endpoint protection, management, DLP, email security, and cloud security will be taken into consideration.
  • Strong understanding of the correlation and Azure Security ecosystem including Intune, Defender, Purview, Exchange, and others.
  • High technical expertise implementing configurations within Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, EntraID, Intune.
  • Understand principles and implementation of features such as configuration profiles, compliance profiles, live session, scripting, security timeline, conditional access, and others.
  • Experience with security compliance frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Benchmarks.
  • Proficiency in scripting using PowerShell/Bash.
  • Security certifications related to the above-mentioned topics.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex security issues in Azure environments.
  • Proactive mindset, taking current configuration challenges, and presenting different solutions for the scenarios.
