Job Summary

The Senior Software Engineer, Digital Transformation, Sitecore Expert will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing new applications, enhancements, and features to our web-based customer-facing solution. This role requires in-depth knowledge and experience in working autonomously and overseeing the architectural design, development, and enhancement of applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designs, develops, and implements new applications, enhancements, and features to our web-based customer-facing solution.
  • Writes high-quality and sustainable code for web-based product development.
  • Estimates technical requirements and breaks down work into user stories and tasks.
  • Plans, develops, tests, deploys, and monitors web platform solutions in a DevOps model.
  • Collaborates with leads and architects on various prototypes or proof of concept to test solutions.
  • May coach, support, and train other developers and engineers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in web development.
  • Solid experience and in-depth knowledge of developing and managing web platforms using Sitecore CMS, .NET, C#, LINQ, and REST APIs.
  • Experience with Sitecore Experience Platforms, Commerce Engines, using TDS for Sitecore and developing solutions using ASP.NET MVC.
  • Strong programming and development experience using .NET Framework and ASP.NET MVC, C#.
  • Sound knowledge with scripting languages such as JavaScript, CSS, HTML, XML, etc.
  • Familiarity with development expertise in technologies such as HTML5, ASP.NET, C#, MVC, WCF, WebAPI, RESTful Services, OAuth, SQL Server, Stored Procedures, TFS, Azure, Visual Studio, Entity Framework, JavaScript, TypeScript, Ajax, SVG, XAML, CSS 3.0, Razor, Dependency Injection, UI frameworks/libraries, and understanding of REST, JSON, XML, SOAP, jQuery, jQuery, Backbone JS, Twitter Bootstrap, pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS.
  • Experience with Azure PaaS (such as App Services, Azure Storage, Application Insights, Azure Key Vaults, Azure Search, etc.).
  • Experience in troubleshooting solutions from Azure Logs.
  • Familiarity with Unit Testing and Code coverage.
  • Understanding of full-stack applications and ability to address the front-end and back-end.
  • Excellent knowledge of relational databases, design database models, optimizing stored procedures, etc.
  • Experience developing interactive web applications using at least one popular web framework.
  • Understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX.
  • Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD)/DevOps for web platform development and deployment.
  • Automation testing for web frameworks.
  • Using various code repositories like Git, TFS, etc.
  • Developing in an Agile methodology with Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Overall 5+ years of experience in web development (minimum 2 years with Sitecore).
  • Sitecore certified is a plus.
  • Experience developing web applications with Sitecore 8.x and 9.0.

Physical and Travel Requirements:

  • 15% travel, including global travel.
  • Work timing: 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
  • Occasional on-call work required.
