Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fine dining restaurant with a continental cuisine focus.

  • Required Experience: 4-5 years in culinary arts, preferably in a similar kitchen environment

Key Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Ensure impeccable personal presentation and professionalism at all times during your shift
  • Practice efficient time management, presentation, and workflow to maintain high standards
  • Deliver exceptional service of food to assigned tasks, adhering to quality specifications and batch cooking requirements
  • Maintain a pristine mise en place of the section, meeting the highest expectations at all times
  • Contribute to maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of equipment, adhering to health and safety protocols
  • Communicate effectively with Senior Chefs regarding any issues or concerns related to section operation
  • Coordinate ordering requirements for the section with the Service Chef or Senior Chefs when instructed
  • Participate actively in building a positive team dynamic and contribute to employees' welfare, safety, and development
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a friendly, courteous, and professional experience at all times
  • Nurture strong working relationships with colleagues and other departments

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Demonstrate confidence in managing at least two sections in the kitchen
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of opening and closing procedures, as well as creating and following prep lists
  • Display a complete grasp of recipe knowledge, portion control, and menu planning
  • Be willing to take on additional responsibilities as requested by management
