Skillbook Academy | SEM Specialist

Skillbook Academy is seeking an experienced SEM Specialist to lead and optimize high-performing paid search campaigns; PRIMARILY on Google and a bit on Bing.
Reporting directly to the AVP, you will be responsible for driving growth through innovative and effective paid media strategies. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience managing paid search, with a strong focus on Google Ads, as well as expertise in event & conversion tracking setup, analytics, and reporting.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, execute, and optimize paid search campaigns across Google and Bing.
- Maintain and monitor keyword bids, budget caps, impression share, and other key performance metrics to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide recommendations and implement strategies for keyword opportunities, campaign structuring, targeting, and other facets of paid search.
- Set up, manage, and track analytics using Google Analytics, GTM (Google Tag Manager), and other tracking tools to measure performance and ROI.
- Analyze performance data and make data-driven decisions to maximize campaign effectiveness and ROI.
- Create monthly performance reports, highlighting key metrics and actionable insights for optimization.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create engaging ad copy and landing pages that align with campaign objectives.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices, trends, and new features in Google and Bing Ads to maintain a competitive edge.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 3-6 years of proven experience in managing SEM campaigns, especially Google and Bing Ads.
- Strong understanding of PPC concepts, bidding strategies, and campaign metrics.
- Hands-on experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and tracking setups. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Google Ads certification is preferred.
- Experience with other platforms like Meta or LinkedIn is a plus, but not required.
