About Search Technologist RoleWe are seeking a Search Technologist to lead critical charters in search relevance or ranking teams.This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of a state-of-the-art AI platform that forms the core of our search technology.You will be scaling and serving AI solutions for critical search problems in relevance (eg spell check, store/category classification, NER, articulation gap, etc) or ranking (personalisation, surfacing new products, diversifying results, whole page optimisation, etc).You will also be owning critical data infrastructure which powers all the core signals and algorithms in search.In this role, you will work with a cross-functional team of engineers, data scientists, product managers, and analysts to develop and deploy mission-critical projects.Join us and be part of a team that is pushing the boundaries of search technology, making a significant impact on millions of users' shopping experiences.]Key Responsibilities:Manage and coach the engineering teams in search core relevance or ranking teamsParticipate in building the long term strategy and blueprint for the teamDevelop and manage standards for deliverables with focus on scalability, high availability and performanceDrive technical decisions and tradeoffs and deliver with speediness and qualityCollaborate with stakeholders across functional boundaries and drive alignmentBe a guide and mentor to the team and drive the culture of innovation and accountabilityOwn the key functional and non-functional metrics for the teamRequirements:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline8+ years of total experience out of which 1+ year experience in scaling/deploying AI systems and supporting data infrastructure, and 6+ months experience of managing small group of engineers with track record of successful deliverablesDeep understanding of developing and maintaining high scale distributed systemsGood knowledge of classical machine learning, deep learning or learning to rank techniquesStrong communication and analytical skillsPast experience of working in fields related to information retrieval is highly desirableWe Offer:A dynamic and collaborative work environmentOpportunities for career growth and professional developmentA competitive compensation packageA comprehensive benefits programWhy Join Us?Our company is committed to innovation and excellence in search technology.
