Job DescriptionImfuna Inspection Management Platform QA EngineerAs a QA/Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of Imfuna’s mature inspection management platform. You will work closely with our Rails engineers to test features across web and mobile applications, maintain test automation, and champion quality throughout the development lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesTest new features in Rails MVC web application and mobile apps to ensure seamless user experience and functionalityDevelop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to validate system integrity and identify potential issuesIdentify, document, and track bugs through resolution, working collaboratively with development teams to resolve defectsPerform regression testing for releases and hotfixes to guarantee stability and consistencyValidate user workflow, data gathering, and quality reports to ensure accuracy and completenessEnsure cross-browser and responsive design compatibility to cater to diverse user basesVerify data integrity across inspection workflows to maintain trustworthiness of the platformTest Automation & Framework SetupSet up test automation frameworks from scratch or enhance existing ones to optimize testing efficiencyConfigure and maintain test environments independently to ensure scalability and flexibilityPlay an active role in CI/CD test pipeline integration to streamline testing processesMaintain and expand existing automated test suites to increase coverage and reduce manual testing effortsWrite integration tests using Cucumber/Capybara to ensure smooth interactions between componentsDevelop API test automation for REST endpoints to validate data exchange and transferEstablish test data management strategies to guarantee data integrity and securityProduction Quality & SupportMonitor production issues via Airbrake and support channels to swiftly address customer concernsReproduce and verify customer-reported issues to pinpoint root causes and provide actionable solutionsParticipate in release planning and go/no-go decisions to ensure alignment with business objectivesPerform production smoke tests post-deployment to validate system readiness and functionalitySupport urgent production fixes with rapid testing to minimize downtime and maximize service availabilityCollaboration & DocumentationWork closely with 4-5 engineers in Agile sprints to foster collaboration and knowledge sharingParticipate in sprint planning and story estimation to align on project goals and prioritiesReview requirements and identify testing risks early to proactively mitigate potential issuesCreate test documentation and maintain test wiki to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboardingTrain support team on new features and known issues to ensure consistent messaging and assistanceProvide testing insights during retrospectives to drive continuous improvement and process refinementRequired Skills and Qualifications4-7 years software testing experience in web applications with a strong focus on QA engineeringProven hands-on experience setting up or maintaining test suites to optimize testing efficiencyMust demonstrate ability to configure test frameworks independently without guidanceStrong understanding of SaaS platform testing, including APIs and cloud infrastructureManual testing expertise with systematic approach to identify and document defectsAPI testing using Postman or similar tools to validate data exchange and transferMobile app testing (iOS/Android) to ensure seamless user experience across platformsCross-browser testing methodology to cater to diverse user bases and browsersExperience with multi-tenant application testing to handle complex workflows and integrationsProduction issue troubleshooting skills to quickly identify and resolve customer concernsWhat We ProvideCompany laptop with testing tools to facilitate efficient testing and analysisAccess to necessary testing platforms/devices to simulate real-world scenarios and user experiencesBrowser testing tools subscription to stay up-to-date with latest technologies and methodologiesTest management tool access to streamline testing processes and improve collaborationSupportive environment for learning and growth to help you develop your skills and expertiseIdeal CandidateYou are a detail-oriented tester who has successfully set up test automation frameworks from scratch.
