About this RoleWe are seeking a skilled Database Architect to join our team. As a key member of our engineering group, you will design and develop high-performance database systems that power scalable applications.Design and implement efficient database schemas, queries, views, triggers, and stored procedures using MySQL.Optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, caching, and load balancing techniques.Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate MySQL seamlessly within Node.js services.Contribute to the development of backend features using JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and Express.js.Ensure data integrity, security, backups, and high availability in our database systems.Participate in system design discussions and propose scalable database solutions.Troubleshoot database-related issues and drive root-cause analysis.Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve overall application performance.Requirements and QualificationsA minimum of 3–6 years of dedicated experience with MySQL, including query writing, optimization, schema design, and performance improvements.A strong understanding of relational database concepts, normalization, indexing strategies, and execution plans.Experience working on high-scale, high-growth product-based companies.The ability to design efficient, scalable database structures for B2C applications.A strong analytical mindset, able to understand why a certain approach is more optimal, not just how to implement it.Experience working in fast-paced startup environments where speed and performance matter.Familiarity with database monitoring tools and performance dashboards.Experience optimizing systems for speed, scalability, and reliability.
