Lead Security Expert RoleOur team seeks a highly skilled Lead Security Expert to join our AppScan Product division. The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in application security, vulnerability assessment, and remediation.Responsibilities:Discover new vulnerabilities in application source codeDevelop automatic vulnerability detection proceduresDemonstrate familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Java, C/C++, .NET) and multiple operating systems/RDBMSProvide security guidance for products across new programming languages and frameworksInnovate and improve the security logic of AppScan productsCollaborate with Research Lab teamsAnalyze AppSec results and identify false positivesPrioritize high-priority issues based on severity and likelihood of exploitUnderstand remediation techniques for various languages and frameworksExecute Source Code Analysis, Reverse Engineering, and Threat ModellingRequired Skills:Experience with Static Analysis (SAST) tools and triaging application security resultsProficiency in security remediation techniques and secure coding best practicesExpertise with security standards like OWASP Top 10 and CWE/SANS Top 25Ability to articulate security threats to developers or auditorsAbility to identify and provide examples of false positives and negatives in source codeExperience with multiple operating systems and software attack/exploitation techniquesFamiliarity with defensive programming conceptsAdvantageous skills: Experience with scripting or query languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python)Experience creating Data and Process Flow diagramsKnowledge of Taint AnalysisExperience with Architectural Risk Analysis, Threat Modelling, and Traceability MatrixExperience with reverse engineering and source-level analysisAcademic degree in Computer ScienceRelevant certifications (e.g., OSWP, OSCP)Other beneficial skills: Security analysis of popular APIs/frameworksOO design skills, API/Framework analysis, Data Structure Algorithms/Graph Theory/CryptographyExperience with Opensource/Software Composition tools, Threat Modelling, or network securityMembership in security-focused groupsProfessional or academic experience with Machine Learning or AIKnowledge of Networking, Telecommunications technologies, and protocolsStrong reporting, presentation, and communication skillsExperience working with distributed cross-functional teams and identifying/escalating risks
