Senior RDK Software Specialist

Job Opportunity for RDK Software ExpertThis senior-level position demands 5-15 years of experience in embedded software development, particularly in the Set-Top Box (STB) media domain. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise with C and C++ programming languages, extensive knowledge of Linux device drivers and kernel modules, and a solid understanding of Yocto Project for embedded Linux build systems.Main responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining embedded software components for STB devices using C/C++ on Linux platforms, developing and troubleshooting Linux device drivers for hardware peripherals, customizing and building Yocto-based Linux distributions tailored for STB devices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate RDK-V middleware and optimize media streaming performance.Hands-on experience with systemd, bootup sequences, storage management, and LXC containers is highly valued.Strong debugging and problem-solving skills are essential.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities are required.The successful candidate will also be responsible for mentoring junior engineers and leading technical discussions related to embedded system architecture.Key Requirements:C and C++ Programming Skills: Hands-on experience with these languages is necessary.Linux Device Drivers: Extensive knowledge of Linux device drivers and kernel modules is required.Yocto Project: A solid understanding of Yocto Project for embedded Linux build systems is expected.We offer a dynamic work environment, opportunities for growth and professional development, and a competitive compensation package.
