Our Newspaper in Education (NIE) program delivers newspapers to schools, incorporating them into curriculum to enhance educational experiences across various subjects.
About the Function:Results and Market Development (RMD) represents the circulation arm of the organisation. The RMD department also focuses on generating sales and increasing readership for BCCL publications. The function begins from mail room packing and dispatch right up to delivering the newspaper to the reader. It is responsible for enabling more and better audience aggregation and for driving newer revenue streams from reader engagement. This is done by reaching out to different segments and expanding the horizons onto new ventures.
About the Role:Responsible for achieving circulation targets of Bhopal Branch through planning and executing promotional & sales activities. Managing overall RMD branch operations – Sales, mailroom, logistics, commercial through close co-ordinations with other verticals of Bhopal branch.
Roles & Responsibilities:Primary role is to ensure circulation target achievement through demand generation and customer acquisition from various channels – Household , OOH Airlines, Airport, Railways, Travelers, Hotel, Hospital, Education Institute, Retail & service sector etc.Would manage the Bhopal circulation sales team , assign them sales target, assist & guide them to achieve their individual target, coach and mentor them in their career progressHe would have to maintain healthy pipeline (Funnel) to ensure that he achieves his sales target for the month / quarterHe would be responsible for ensuring timely collection of dealers’ outstanding. He is expected to resolve any customer issues to ensure smooth business continuation.Trade relationship and handling of trade issues. Keeping a track on unsold and market hygieneInteraction and relationship building with other functions/verticals of BCCL of the branch – Production, Editorial and Response team.Conducting ABC certifications of all TOI publications.
Qualifications Required:MBA in Sales & MarketingWork Experience 12 – 15 years, primarily into sales and distribution. At least 6-7 years in managerial role handling large sales team.Sales acquisition skills would be the key to successGood analytical & presentation skillsAbility to drive and motivate team members to achieve individual goalsSuitable commercial and logistic skillsExcellent negotiation skills to ensure win- win for the co. & customer.A team player who can work with cross functional teams to ensure achieve his targetAbility to overcome hurdles in sales acquisition process by calling for help internally from the organizationPerson constantly striving & thriving for making mark for himself in the organizationHigh degree of self confidenceCustomer Focus, Innovative & Lateral thinking, Effective Communication & Self Driven
Candidate should have experience in hardcore sales and distribution in FMCG companies/ early morning distribution companies, Milk distribution, E-commerce.
