Job Description: Environment Specialist
Job Location: Hosur (Tamil Nadu)
Position Details:
Function as a specialist and subject matter expert to drive key environmental programs across the manufacturing and construction operations.
Role Responsibilities:
- Knowledge on Environmental management
- Provide subject matter expertise to business teams and suggest best available solutions.
- Develop and implement programs and review program deployment on a periodic basis.
- Responsible for supporting in implement, maintain and continually improve the EHS programs
- Monitoring and coordinating concerns related to environment which include ISO compliances, water treatment plants, testing and monitoring, ensuring zero harm to the environment and the eco system.
- Ensuring the statutory compliance of the environmental systems by zero discharge and zero emissions from the plant as per the specified norms.
- Monitoring and ensuring green belt development around the periphery of the plant which includes plantation and replacement.
- Monitoring the proper disposal of wastewater by treating them in water treatment plant
- Ensuring training and development of subordinates by conducting different training programs.
Critical Experience
- Specialist / Subject Matter Expert in a environment management
- Experience in implementing programs in fast paced manufacturing environments
- Ability to monitor and coordinate issues related to environmental protection.
- Ability and knowledge on all the testing procedures required for environmental quality assessment.
- Ability to develop and sustain the green belt concept outside the periphery of the plant.
- Effective communication & management skills.
- IT literate, with the ability to use the full Microsoft Office package
Educational Qualification
Graduate Engineer from a recognized University (Environmental Engineering), M.Tech. Candidates are Preferred.
Experience: 7+ years of relevant experience
