The Role:

SAP ABAP Technical Consultant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement ABAP programs for SAP SD/MM modules to meet business requirements.
  • Create custom reports, enhancements, interfaces, and data migration programs in SAP ECC and SAP S/4 HANA environments.
  • Develop and maintain user exits, BAdIs, and ABAP Objects for SAP SD/MM processes.
  • Optimize existing ABAP programs and reports to improve performance and system efficiency.
  • Assist in adapting existing ABAP code to be compatible with SAP S/4 HANA requirements.
  • Develop and implement new functionalities in SAP S/4 HANA using ABAP for S/4 HANA techniques (e.g., CDS Views, AMDP, HANA-specific optimizations).
  • Ensure that custom ABAP solutions align with SAP Fiori apps and SAP S/4 HANA architecture.
  • Provide technical support for ongoing SAP SD/MM operations, identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving ABAP-related issues.
  • Work closely with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical solutions in the SD/MM areas.
  • Support debugging, error resolution, and root cause analysis for any ABAP-related issues in both SAP ECC and S/4 HANA environments.
  • Design and develop interfaces between SAP SD/MM and external systems (e.g., third-party applications, legacy systems, etc.).
  • Work on IDocs, ALE, RFC, SOAP/REST web services, and other integration techniques for data exchange.
  • Ensure seamless data flow and system integration between SAP modules and third-party systems.
  • Monitor, identify, and optimize performance issues related to ABAP programs, reports, and batch jobs.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for custom ABAP developments, configurations, and interfaces.
  • Assist in system upgrades, enhancements, and patching activities for SAP ECC and S/4 HANA, ensuring custom developments are properly migrated and tested.
  • Collaborate with the functional team during new project implementations and system enhancements, ensuring technical requirements are met.
  • Work closely with SAP functional consultants (SD/MM) to understand business requirements and ensure technical solutions meet the business needs.
  • Collaborate with other technical teams, such as Basis and Security, for system performance, connectivity, and access control.
  • Liaise with external vendors and other stakeholders to integrate third-party applications with SAP SD/MM.

Skills Required:

  • SAP ABAP Technical Consultant with SAP SD/MM/WM/FI/FICO (Support, ECC & SAP S/4 HANA) expertise.
  • Support, ECC & SAP S/4 HANA expertise, Multiple Modules interfaces experience.
  • Experience in AMS tracking (Jira/servicenow) and client facing skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Will have at least 5-12 years of experience
  • Any graduate
