Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Development Professional to join our team as a Senior Project Manager specializing in Education. This role requires hands-on experience in project management, research, and stakeholder engagement, particularly within the education sector. Ideal candidates will have experience in functional literacy, numeracy, and education system strengthening, along with a strong background in conducting and managing large-scale research studies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of research, evaluation, education and strategic projects, ensuring quality outcomes within time and budget constraints.
  • Capacity Building: Support internal team development and capacity enhancement within project contexts.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, including corporates, donor organizations, and implementation partners.
  • Organizational Development: Contribute to strategic growth and development initiatives within DS.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Educational Background: Postgraduate degree in a relevant field from a recognized institution.
  • Experience: At least 10 years of relevant experience in project management, preferably at a senior level.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Proven experience in managing diverse stakeholders with a understanding of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) frameworks.
  • Consulting Experience: Prior experience in consulting, particularly within the social impact sector, is preferred.


Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset.
  • Excellent project management skills, capable of handling complex, multifaceted projects.
  • Ability to manage teams, client relations, timelines, and budgets effectively.


Desirable:

  • Experience of having worked on social impact bonds or other social financing models
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with ownership and accountability.
  • Receptive to feedback and eager to learn and grow.
  • A supportive and team-oriented approach.
