In this role, you will be part of ADP‘s UX Research team, identifying and conducting various research studies to inform what we create for ADP‘s cloud-based payroll, tax, HR, and benefits solutions. Every day, you will be the voice of our clients with UX designers, product managers, and developers. You‘re on a constant mission to understand them better by analyzing research data and asking key questions that inform our product and design decisions. You help our teams better understand our clients so that we can build better products. To excel in this role, you should be adept at running all research phases, from data collection to synthesis and presentation. You should have experience analyzing data from diverse sources, crafting research studies, conducting interviews, and creating complex surveys and usability tests. About the Team

You will be part of ADP ONEUX team. ONEUX team is responsible for all the digital product experience at ADP. The team influences design thinking, strategy, and execution throughout the customer journey of numerous products, and contributes design leadership and oversight to ADP’s product teams’ understanding of the factors that influence behaviours, drive engagement and delight.

About the Role

ADP’s UX Researchers partner with stakeholders in the TRIAD (consisting of UX Designers, Product Owners and Development) throughout the software development lifecycle – from the early planning stages, through product development, and following launch – to ensure that customer considerations influence UX/UI designs intended for current and future product releases.

UX Researchers facilitate design thinking sessions and discovery workshops, design and execute ethnographic fieldwork, create and maintain personas and customer journey maps, test proof of concept prototypes and product releases, and deliver research insights and design recommendations as part of Agile teams.

What You‘ll Do:

Here‘s what you can expect on a typical day in the life of a Senior UX Researcher at ADP .

● Create Human Empathy. When it comes to humans and how they interact with technology to do their jobs, you‘re asking ‘why‘ to understand what questions you need to answer and how data might help drive those decisions. You bring the voice of people into the teams.

● Collaboration. You‘ll work each day with people from across the product development team, that are both co-located and geographically distributed, in a fast-paced environment to understand issues and communicate user priorities.

● Recruit & Collect. Having proficiency with a variety of methods such as usability testing, surveying and interviews, you‘ll recruit and manage participants for your research and collect quantitative and qualitative data to meet product goals and support data-driven design.

● Analysis & Synthesis. You’re able to analyze data from a variety of sources and turn it into actionable insights and recommendations. You synthesize research findings and prioritize based on the project goals and business needs.

● Variety of work. There is no typical day. You could be working on anything from data collection to analysis. You know how to apply different methods based on the situation.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

Your prior experience in user experience research with software, web, and/or mobile applications, along with experience with research and analysis tools like UserTesting, Maze, Qualtrics, Figma, Miro, etc, and R or Python will give you the foundation in this role to be successful.

Your experience with quantitative research utilizing various methods (e.g., customer outcome measurement, descriptive statistics, multivariate data analysis and interpretation, user behavioral analytics, and text analytics/sentiment analysis).

Your proficiency with evaluative UX research methods such as usability testing and surveys is required. You can represent user needs through data discovery, business process flows, customer journey mapping, user sentiment and behavioral analysis.

Ability to collaborate with global teams across multiple time zones and countries is embedded in our culture.

An advanced degree in Human Computer Interaction, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline isn‘t required but could set you apart.

Willingness to work both independently and collaboratively with tight deadlines, and multi-task efficiently in high volume, fast paced settings.
Strong communication skills to confidently present to various audience types and seniority levels, and an ability to provide bottom-line insights that help teams realize tangible value and productively execute on research/testing findings.
Strong data collection and analysis skills to be self-sufficient in generating, analyzing and presenting results from quantitative & qualitative research, and an ability to translate complex analyses into straightforward recommendations.
Ability to carry multiple projects simultaneously, either by leading or supporting.
Commitment to best practices, user advocacy, and thought leadership that drive positive outcomes focused on high levels of quality and innovation.

The candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and capabilities:

User research and usability testing fundamentals across a wide range of digital products and applications for enterprise platforms.
Web Accessibility principles and familiarity with WCAG 2.0 is a plus.
Familiarity or proficiency with remote usability testing tools, such as User Zoom or UserTesting.com, surveying tools such as Qualtrics, and analysis tools.
Represent customer needs through discovery, business process flows, customer journey mapping, persona development, requirements gathering, etc.
Ability to design usability tests, facilitate test sessions and analyze usability data.
Ability to comfortably lead fieldwork and conduct interviews with end users
