Job Title: HL7 Integration Specialist
Location: Remote
Company: My Care Labs, California
Shift time: Night shift (PST /PDT)
Part time (2hrs a week) or Project basis (As per the company requirements)
Pay Structure = INR 400 – 500 /hour
Project Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced HL7 Integration Specialist to collaborate with us on a critical project involving the integration of our Laboratory Information System (LIS) with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) state reporting system. The successful candidate will work to facilitate the seamless transmission of laboratory data to CDPH in compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- HL7 Integration: Design and implement HL7 interfaces to enable data exchange between the Laboratory Information System and the CDPH state reporting system.
- Interface Development: Develop and configure HL7 interfaces, message types, and data mappings according to the specific requirements of the CDPH system.
- Data Transformation: Transform and format laboratory data into HL7 messages (e.g., HL7 Version 2.x) for accurate transmission and compliance with CDPH standards.
- Data Mapping: Create detailed data mapping documents that outline the translation of data fields from the LIS to the CDPH system.
- Testing: Perform thorough testing of the HL7 interfaces to ensure accurate and reliable data transmission.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve any integration issues, data discrepancies, or error messages in collaboration with the project team.
- Compliance: Ensure that the HL7 integration adheres to all relevant industry standards, including HIPAA, and meets CDPH reporting requirements.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of the integration process, configurations, and testing results.
- Training: If required, provide training and support to end-users or the project team regarding the HL7 integration.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in HL7 integration, particularly in healthcare or laboratory settings.
- In-depth knowledge of HL7 standards (e.g., HL7 Version 2.x) and familiarity with HL7 tools and software (Preferred Mirth Connect)
- Strong understanding of laboratory information systems and workflows.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements, including HIPAA.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
- Experience with California Department of Public Health (CDPH) reporting requirements is a plus.
