Job Summary:
We are seeking a Cybersecurity Consultant with 8+ years of experience to join our Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team. As a consultant, you will support our clients by delivering comprehensive cybersecurity assessments and solutions aimed at reducing business risks. You will focus on helping mid-market and Fortune 1000 clients manage cybersecurity compliance and risk. This remote role offers an exciting opportunity for growth, mentoring, and development, and is ideal for an individual with extensive experience in cybersecurity and GRC frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) – Lead assessments and ensure effective management of cybersecurity risks.
- PCI DSS Gap Assessments – Conduct thorough assessments to identify compliance gaps and prepare Reports on Compliance (RoC).
- Risk Assessments – Perform risk and compliance assessments for frameworks such as NIST CSF/800-171, ISO 27001, CIS CSC, HIPAA, and other industry standards.
- IT Security Program & Policy Development – Design, implement, and review cybersecurity programs and policies.
- IT & Application Risk Assessments – Assess IT infrastructure and applications for security risks and vulnerabilities.
- IT Control Reviews – Perform detailed reviews of IT controls and assess their alignment with industry standards.
- Reporting – Develop comprehensive reports for clients, providing clear recommendations for risk mitigation and compliance improvements.
- Professional Growth – Opportunity to grow into roles such as Virtual Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), Virtual Data Privacy Officer (DPO), or engage in Cloud Security Assessments.
- Client Relationship Development – Contribute to the development of new client service offerings, further enhancing the company's portfolio.

Education & Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 8 years of hands-on experience conducting PCI DSS assessments and performing GRC consulting for IT security and compliance.
- Risk & Compliance Knowledge: Deep understanding of cybersecurity controls and regulations, with expertise in frameworks such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS CSC, and others.
- Technical Expertise: Solid understanding of IT security controls, risk assessments, and audit procedures.
- Certifications (Preferred): CISSP, CISM, CISA, or similar cybersecurity certifications.
