Job DescriptionPurpose of the roleTo design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. AccountabilitiesDevelopment and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization's technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.Analyst ExpectationsTo perform prescribed activities in a timely manner and to a high standard consistently driving continuous improvement.Requires in-depth technical knowledge and experience in their assigned area of expertiseThorough understanding of the underlying principles and concepts within the area of expertiseThey lead and supervise a team, guiding and supporting professional development, allocating work requirements and coordinating team resources.If the position has leadership responsibilities, People Leaders are expected to demonstrate a clear set of leadership behaviours to create an environment for colleagues to thrive and deliver to a consistently excellent standard. You'll harness cutting-edge technology to revolutionize our digital offerings, ensuring unapparelled customer experiences.To be successful as a PDS – Application Support , where you should have experience with:Degree in information systems or computer science or any equivalent.5-7 years of strong experience in L2 Application Support experience is MustStrong experience in working & monitoring of Linux/Unix /Windows operating systems.Proficiency with database management systems such as Oracle PL/SQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQLProven experience in scripting technologies like (one or more) Unix Scripting, SQL, Batch script, Python.Working knowledge of scheduling tools like Autosys, Unix Cron, Windows Scheduler etcWorking knowledge on Networking and Firewalls connectivity, SFTP-SSH keys setup and DR Resiliency processesWorking knowledge of one or more monitoring tools like Geneos ITRS, AppDynamics etc.Excellent knowledge of ITIL practices (Incident ,Change & Problem Management)Candidate should have strong verbal and written communication skills as the role demands to interact with key stakeholders and senior management from business and IT.Proven Experience in driving major incidents to resolution by owning the end-to-end incident recovery and stakeholder communication.Flexible to work in APAC/ UK/US shifts as per the L2 Support need .Flexible to work during weekends for any on call work as per the rotating on-call coverage plan in the team Some other highly valued skills may include:Knowledge of IB Business – clear understanding of trade lifecycle with special focus on basic understanding of Position Management, Settlements, Confirmations, Recon and Reporting flowsFamiliar with Integration technologies like – Solace, MQ, Kafka etcKnowledge on Devops methodologies, API, Cloud technologies, CSM, CyberarkYou may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.This role is based in Pune.
