Quality Assurance Specialist

Job OverviewWe're seeking a highly skilled QA professional to spearhead the delivery of top-notch software solutions. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, hands-on expertise in Java and Cypress, and a passion for crafting defect-free systems.Duties:Develop robust automated test frameworks using Java and Cypress for web and API applications.Design and execute comprehensive test cases and scenarios for functional, regression, performance, and scalability testing.Pursue API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar libraries to ensure seamless system integration quality.Collaborate with the development team to grasp requirements and pinpoint testing needs.Analyze application logs, error messages, and stack traces to identify and resolve issues.Continuously refine automation frameworks for efficiency, coverage, and scalability.Work closely with DevOps to integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).Maintain consistent and reliable test environments across the QA lifecycle.Effectively document and communicate testing results, defect statuses, and metrics to stakeholders.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with a focus on automation testing.Strong hands-on experience in Java for building automated test cases.Proficiency with Cypress for end-to-end web application testing.Hands-on experience in API testing using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or Java-based libraries like RestAssured.Technical Skills:Familiarity with HTTP, REST, and SOAP protocols.Knowledge of database querying (SQL) to validate backend results.Experience working with version control tools such as Git.Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Preferred SkillsExperience with performance testing tools like JMeter or Gatling.Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).Knowledge of cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure)
