Job Description: Senior Technical Writer
Experience:
5+ years creating technical documentation for business users or highly technical audiences.
2+ years using GitHub and Markdown for content management.
Location: Remote
Overview: The Microsoft Power Platform is a dynamic suite of applications that enables low-code/no-code development, workflow automation, AI agent development, and data analytics. The Skilling team seeks an experienced Senior Technical Writer/Editor to create comprehensive documentation aimed at business users, fostering the adoption and effective governance of the Power Platform.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Strategy & Development:
Develop, write, and maintain high-quality documentation, including text, illustrations, and videos tailored for low-code audiences.
Establish a content strategy that aligns with product releases and stakeholder needs.
Collaboration:
Work closely with Product/Program Managers (PMs), designers, support teams, and other content developers to ensure comprehensive and effective documentation.
Engage in collaborative writing with feature PMs and fellow writers to produce coherent and impactful content.
Understanding User Needs:
Gain a deep understanding of assigned feature areas and the needs of business users and IT professionals.
Utilize feedback and metrics to enhance content quality and relevance.
Project Management:
Plan, prioritize, and manage multiple content deliverables simultaneously.
Adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Quality Improvement:
Continuously seek ways to improve content based on user feedback and analytics.

Required:
Experience:
5+ years creating technical documentation for business users or highly technical audiences.
2+ years using GitHub and Markdown for content management.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technical Communication, Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
Skills:
Excellent English writing skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
Proven ability to interact effectively with software developers and product managers.
