Job Title: Sales Head - Key Accounts Manager (The Bear House)
Location: Bangalore
Job Summary:
The Sales Head - Key Accounts Manager for The Bear House is responsible for leading the strategic management of key retail and wholesale accounts, driving sales growth, and enhancing the brand’s market share through successful partnerships. The role involves managing high-level negotiations, developing sales strategies, and working closely with key clients such as online fashion retailers, and distributors. The ideal candidate has a strong background in the fashion industry, a deep understanding of market trends, and proven experience in driving revenue growth through key account management.
Key Responsibilities:
Key Account Leadership:
Manage relationships with the brand’s top retail and wholesale accounts, including major department stores, online platforms, boutiques, and distributors.
Develop and execute strategies to maximize sales opportunities within key accounts, aligning them with brand objectives and seasonal collections.
Lead high-level negotiations on product assortments, pricing, promotions, and in-store or online merchandising.
Identify new opportunities for brand expansion within existing accounts and potential new partnerships.
Sales Growth & Revenue Management:
Drive revenue growth by managing and optimizing the sales process for key accounts, ensuring product lines are well-represented and driving sell-through rates.
Achieve sales targets by executing strategic plans that align with the brand’s overall goals and marketing initiatives.
Forecast sales performance for key accounts and develop action plans to meet or exceed sales targets.
Client Relationship Management:
Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring excellent client service, timely communication, and problem-solving as needed.
Organize and lead regular business reviews with key accounts to ensure alignment on sales strategies, new product launches, and market feedback.
Merchandising & Brand Representation:
Collaborate with merchandising and marketing teams to ensure the brand is represented in line with its identity across all key accounts.
Influence product placement, marketing campaigns, and in-store or online visibility to optimize brand presence and product sales.
Ensure key accounts receive the necessary support, including marketing materials, visual merchandising, and promotional campaigns.
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead and mentor the key accounts sales team, ensuring they are aligned with business goals and equipped to manage relationships effectively.
Set performance goals, evaluate team performance, and provide ongoing training and development.
Foster a collaborative, results-driven culture within the team, ensuring alignment with the brand’s vision and goals.
Market & Trend Analysis:
Stay up-to-date on fashion industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to inform sales strategies.
Use market intelligence and sales data to adjust key account strategies and capitalize on emerging trends or shifts in consumer demand.
Provide feedback to the design and product development teams based on market insights and key account feedback to improve product offerings.
Reporting & Analytics:
Regularly analyze sales data, account performance, and inventory levels to provide insights and recommendations for improving sales performance.
Prepare detailed sales forecasts and performance reports for senior leadership, highlighting risks, opportunities, and action plans.
Monitor sell-through rates and adjust sales strategies as needed to optimize product movement and minimize markdowns.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in sales or account management within the fashion or apparel industry.
Proven success in managing large retail and wholesale accounts, particularly with department stores, online fashion platforms, or specialty retailers.
Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills with senior retail buyers and partners.
Knowledge of fashion retail trends, merchandising, and consumer behavior in the apparel market.
Proficiency in CRM software, sales tracking tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
