Software Development Engineer in Test


As a Product Tester you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day product development activities. You will work closely with Product managers to understand the product roadmap and requirements. You will spec out the feature requirements on a granular level. You will own quality, usability and timely delivery of product features as per customer requirements.


You will play an integral role in collaborating with product managers and developers in delivering product features in a timely manner.


Required: 1-2 years of prior experience in software development, testing or as a business analyst in software development is an added advantage.


Key Responsibilities


  • Requirement Analysis: Collaborate closely with Product Managers to understand and interpret product specifications.
  • User Story Development: Break down product specs into clear, concise user stories that reflect the desired functionality and business value.
  • User Flow Mapping: Develop and document detailed user flows to capture all potential interactions within the software.
  • Test Case Assurance: Work alongside QA teams to ensure all possible test cases are covered, mitigating risks and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a bridge between Product Management, Design, and Development teams, ensuring that all teams have a clear understanding of the project requirements and timelines.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for all processes, user stories, and test cases to ensure traceability and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously identify areas for improvement within the BA process and work with cross-functional teams to implement these enhancements.

  • Written and verbal communication. Able to communicate with clarity in articulating the feature requirements and solutions
  • Structured and logical thinking. Ability to break down complex tasks/ features into smaller components and approach them in a logical manner
  • Problem solving. Able to arrive at elegant solutions to complex customer problems
  • Organised and process oriented. Able to maintain written documentation and organise them over a period of time.
  • High standards around product experience. Passionate about delivering high quality product experience to customers.
