As a key contributor to the Network Development team, you will play a pivotal role in driving change requests, fulfilling service needs, and ensuring site reliability.The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge of network operating systems, including Cisco IOS/NX-OS, and TMOS. Additionally, they will have experience with internet routing protocols, such as TCP/IP, BGP, iBGP, EGP, MPLS, IS-IS, OSPF, Anycast, RHI, and Route reflection.With strong automation and DevOps skills, this individual will be responsible for developing tools that facilitate change validation, verify service health, and expose performance metrics. The successful candidate will also participate in weekly on-call rotations and collaborate with peers to drive innovation and improvement within the organization.Key Responsibilities:Develop methods to capture metrics that show service health.Plan and execute changes to the network as needed.Develop and maintain scripts and tools in Python or other languages to efficiently perform various changes to the network.Collaborate with peers to develop and implement automated solutions.Participate in weekly on-call rotations to ensure site reliability.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in technology related field or equivalent practical & demonstrated experience.6+ years professional experience in supporting carrier grade, IP based ISP, Webscale, on-prem Datacenter and cloud-provider network environments.Advanced level knowledge of multiple network operating systems.Operational experience with internet routing protocols.Advanced level automation and DevOps type optimization experience.Experience in traffic engineering, performance optimization, and capacity management.Preferred Skills and Experience:5 + years of experience performing peering, network design, customer turnup, provisioning, migration, and decommissioning.1-2 + years Cloud based Network service design and management.Experience with Oracle Database, SQL Server, MySQL, or PLSQL.Experience in Traffic Management and Load balancing technologies.Experience supporting DNS infrastructure services.Experience operating in a Linux/Unix environment.
