Junior Data Analyst (1-2 years of experience)
Job Role:
A Junior Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data to help the organization make informed decisions. They are expected to handle data-related tasks using tools like SQL, Python, and Excel, and generate basic reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Collection and Cleaning:
- Gather data from multiple sources and clean datasets for analysis.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Perform basic data analysis to identify trends and insights.
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports using Excel and Python.
- SQL Queries:
- Write and execute SQL queries to extract data from databases.
- Perform data validation and transformation using SQL.
- Excel Analysis:
- Use Advanced Excel for data summarization, pivot tables, and formula-based analysis.
- Create visual reports and charts to present findings.
- Collaboration:
- Work with senior analysts and other departments to understand data requirements.
- Support ad-hoc data requests and analyses.
Mandatory Skills:
- Proficiency in Python (data manipulation and basic visualization).
- Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, IF conditions, charts).
- Basic to intermediate SQL (joins, aggregate functions, subqueries).
Senior Data Analyst (3-6 years of experience)
Job Role:
A Senior Data Analyst is responsible for leading data-driven projects, performing complex analyses, and providing actionable insights to stakeholders. They mentor junior analysts and drive the development of advanced reporting solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advanced Data Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth analyses to solve business problems and recommend solutions.
- Perform predictive modeling and trend analysis using Python.
- SQL and Database Management:
- Write optimized SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation.
- Work with large datasets and complex data structures.
- Visualization and Reporting:
- Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Excel and Python-based libraries.
- Present insights in a clear and actionable format to stakeholders.
- Data Quality and Governance:
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data across all systems.
- Implement and maintain data quality frameworks.
- Mentorship and Leadership:
- Mentor junior team members and review their work.
- Drive collaboration between teams and act as a key point of contact for data-related queries.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work with management to identify opportunities for process improvement and provide data-backed recommendations.
- Collaborate with technical teams for data architecture improvements.
Mandatory Skills:
- Advanced Python (data analysis, visualization, and scripting for automation).
- Advanced Excel (macros, VBA, advanced formula usage).
- Advanced SQL (stored procedures, optimization, indexing).
Interview Process
