A leading distributor of global brands in Medical devices space in Africa.
The role :
- Work closely with the suppliers to ensure that the shipments are made at the right time with the right documentation required to enter Zambia.
- Manage the permit management process required in Zambia to ensure that the permits required for the shipments to be cleared are procured based in the shortest possible time.
- Submit the shipment documents and permits to the customs agents, get the quote for the clearances and coordinate internally to ensure that the payments required for the customs clearance is made on time.
- Coordinate between the supplier, customs agents and customer/internal teams on clarification of HSN codes.
- Update the purchase order tracker at every step in process, to ensure that the timelines for each shipment is tracked closely and monitored for delays.
- Provide ongoing updates to the internal teams on status of shipments / items and any delays that impact customer fulfillment timelines.
The person for the role :
- 2 to 5 years experience managing the import process
- Knowledge of Customs regulations
- Familiarity with shipping and logistics
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks

CTC for this role :
- Range of INR 30 K +/- per month gross, based on the experience band.
