Senior Software Engineer

Job OpportunityWe seek a seasoned software engineer to spearhead backend development and lead the implementation of core features or services across our technology stack.This role involves collaborating with senior engineers and architects to design scalable, reliable, and maintainable distributed systems that meet high performance standards.A strong focus on coding excellence includes implementing test-driven development, design patterns, SOLID principles, and industry best practices to ensure seamless integration with frontend applications and third-party systems.Tech Leadership & MentorshipThe successful candidate will mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical guidance while promoting engineering best practices including peer reviews, static code analysis, CI/CD hygiene, and code quality standards.This includes contributing to defining and improving coding guidelines, development workflows, and engineering processes to drive innovation and efficiency.Innovation & ToolingLeveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI-assisted engineering tools optimizes development, debugging, and testing workflows by identifying new tools, frameworks, or libraries that enhance team productivity and software quality.Promoting high availability, performance, and reliability across environments with QA and SRE teams involves developing and maintaining automated test suites for unit, integration, functional, and end-to-end testing.Cross-Functional CollaborationWorking closely with Product Managers, Designers, and cross-functional teams translates business requirements into robust technical solutions that drive business value.Actively participating in sprint planning, estimation, retrospectives, and post-mortems contributes to design documentation, architecture specs, and internal knowledge bases.Required Skills & QualificationsThe ideal candidate must have:6–8 years of hands-on software development experience.Strong backend development expertise with Java / Spring Boot, and working exposure to frontend technologies (React/Angular is a plus).Deep knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and CI/CD pipelines.Strong proficiency in Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA) and system design fundamentals.Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Services (Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, SNS/SQS, etc.).Strong skills in debugging, performance tuning, and distributed system troubleshooting.Experience with Kubernetes/Docker, Git, and Agile methodologies.Interest or experience in integrating LLMs / AI tools into engineering workflows for code generation, testing, or automation.
