Role Description:

The Project Controls Engineer reports directly to the Project Controls Lead, who manages a team of schedulers, estimators, project analysts, and document control professionals. You will collaborate closely with this team to ensure effective project controls and contribute to the overall success of projects.

As a Project Controls Engineer, your role is essential for successful project execution. You provide timely and accurate project information, support decision-making, and ensure project performance aligns with organizational goals. You establish and maintain project control systems to monitor, analyze, and report on project performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project control systems and processes to track project progress,
  • cost, schedule, and quality.
  • Collaborate with project teams to establish project baselines, including scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Develop Monitor project performance against established baselines and identify any deviations or risks.
  • Conduct regular analysis of project data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
  • Provide accurate and timely project information to stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making.
  • Support project managers in developing and updating project plans and schedules.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project performance aligns with organizational goals.
  • Identify and escalate any project issues or risks to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present project performance reports, including key metrics, to management and stakeholders.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve project control systems and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports on projects as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil or Chemical Engineering and or Masters in Project or Construction Management.
  • Proven experience of 6+ years in EPC Project Controls function.
  • Strong understanding of project control methodologies, tools and software.
  • Hands-on experience on Oracle Primavera P6.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex data.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under tight deadlines.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge or working experience on tools like MS Projects, SAP, Minitab, PowerBI and Tableau is an added advantage.
