Role Name - Reliability Engineer Substation & Solar

Role Summary

The Associate will play an integral part in improving the reliability of the operational Substations by spearheading strategic initiatives, monitoring organizational KPI’s, In-depth analysis, identifying problem areas and providing strategic solutions.

Reporting Manager - Head Operations & Reliability

Other Work Relations

Internal – Functional Heads, Regional Heads, Operations team

External – Relevant Govt Bodies, Regulatory bodies


Role’s Key Responsibilities

Identifying Risks and set reliability requirements for Substation components, sub-systems, and assemblies.

Defining and executing statistical tools and techniques for analysing the risk.

Lead development of system reliability models and verify targets vs performance.

Support organization with effective FMEA analysis and governance.

Establish Reliability metrics/KPI’s to monitor Performance and improve further.

Providing Technical Support on Equipment and reliability issues.

Overseeing collection, assimilation, and management of data for analysis.

Root Cause Analysis of faults and breakdowns and monitoring effective implementation of CAPA’s.

Coordinate with OEM’s for RCA’s and appropriate actions.

Coordinate with Protections/Operations team for Field data and in-depth analysis of problems.

Support on developing and documenting standard operating procedures, Work Instructions etc.

Performs complex research and develops recommendation for equipment/Sub-components.

Conduct research on Industry best practices and technological advancements. Prepare detailed project feasibility report, cost benefit analysis and initiate strategic projects.

Overseeing change management

Monitoring of equipment mapped in Asset Health Indexing

Supporting Reliability initiative on AC side of Solar functions similar to TL functions.


Travel Requirements - Occasional – about 20% of time

Base location - Noida


Education / Experience: B. Tech/BE in Electrical Engineering or equivalent stream. 7-8 years of experience in Substations O&M, Testing & Protection, Equipment manufacturing etc.

Desirable Experience: Certified Reliability Engineer qualification.
