CDiTH works closely with healthcare institutions to identify challenges, develop products & solutions, and deploy them in the field. The Centre's work spans AI/ML, data analysis/engineering, and full-stack web and mobile application development.Job DescriptionCDiTH is seeking skilled and motivated engineers to join its team working on impactful, research oriented technology solutions in the healthcare domain. As a Research Engineer – Full Stack Development, you will contribute to the design, development, and deployment of applications and services across mobile, web, and server-side components. The role involves working with modern frameworks, cloud platforms, Articial intelligence and data-driven technologies to build solutions grounded in real-world healthcare needs.Why Join CDiTH- Work on high-impact projects in healthcare and public health involving data analysis, machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision.- Collaborate closely with professors, senior technology leaders, and research scientists in designing and evaluating solutions.- Engage with cutting-edge research at IIIT Hyderabad and explore ways to translate research outcomes into deployable systems.- Gain a deeper understanding of healthcare needs and AI/ML concepts beyond black-box application use, including model exploration, tuning, and evaluation.- Opportunity to enrol in IIITH courses aligned with your work and pursue MS or other academic programmes at IIITH.Roles & Responsibilities- Understand problem statements and conduct background research to build domain knowledge.- Design, prototype, and develop full-stack applications—including mobile and web interfaces—as required.- Build server-side components and integrate applications with REST APIs, models, and backend services.- Evaluate existing technologies, frameworks, and architectural options to choose suitable approaches.- Work with data—perform exploratory analysis, visualisation, and interpretation as needed.- Follow best engineering practices, including continuous integration, testing, and deployment.- Collaborate with engineers, team leads, research assistants, and faculty members to drive solution development and validation.Required Skills- Bachelor's degree or higher in ECE, CSE, EEE, or related disciplines with strong programming fundamentals.- Hands-on experience in hybrid mobile application development using React Native or similar frameworks for Android/iOS.- Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred) for deployment and integration.- Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript is an advantage.- Exposure to machine learning or deep learning concepts is desirable.- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate design and implementation decisions.- Comfort with iterative development, frequent testing, and rapid deployment cycles.- Curiosity, problem-solving ability, and a mindset to explore new technologies.
