Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage end-to-end payroll functions for contract staff.Evaluate accurate calculation of wages, benefits, tax deductions, and other deductions.Maintain payroll processing system and records by gathering, calculating, and inputting data.Manage employee onboarding and exit formalities.Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.Maintain payroll guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures.Ensure compliance with all payroll-related laws and regulations.Compliance ManagementEnsure compliance with state and central laws and best practices.Stay current with payroll-related legislation and regulatory changes.Prepare and file required reports, including quarterly and annual payroll taxes.Manage internal and external audits related to payroll.Implement internal controls to safeguard payroll operations.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.7+ years of experience in payroll and compliance management for various states in India.Strong knowledge of payroll software and systems.In-depth understanding of tax and employment laws.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong organizational and time management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.High level of integrity and confidentiality.SkillsProficiency in payroll software.Attention to detail and accuracy.Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Knowledge of compliance best practices and regulatory requirements.Able to handle sensitive information with discretion.Strong leadership and team management skills.
