We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with expertise in Splunk, AWS CloudWatch, New Relic, Prometheus, and DevOps tools to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing, containerization, and monitoring tools. The SRE will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our cloud-based infrastructure, applications, and services. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Development, Operations, and Quality Assurance, to identify and resolve issues, implement improvements, and drive continuous innovation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and Alerting:Design, implement, and maintain monitoring tools such as Splunk, AWS CloudWatch, New Relic, and Prometheus to ensure real-time visibility into system performance and availability.
  • Develop and maintain alerting systems to notify teams of potential issues before they impact customers.
  • Incident Management:Respond to and resolve production incidents, collaborating with teams to identify root causes and implement fixes.
  • Develop and maintain incident response plans, procedures, and playbooks to ensure timely and effective response to incidents.
  • Infrastructure Management:Design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure using AWS EC2, ECS, and S3, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.
  • Collaborate with Development teams to ensure infrastructure meets application requirements and is properly provisioned.
  • Automation and Scripting:Develop and maintain automation scripts using tools like Jenkins to streamline deployment, testing, and monitoring processes.
  • Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform to ensure consistency and reproducibility.
  • Collaboration and Communication:Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Development, Operations, and Quality Assurance, to identify and resolve issues.
  • Communicate technical information and solutions to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding and alignment.
  • Continuous Improvement:Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase system reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Security and Compliance:Ensure infrastructure and applications meet security and compliance requirements, collaborating with Security teams to implement best practices.
  • Develop and maintain security and compliance documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.


Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with cloud computing, containerization, and monitoring tools.
  • Technical Skills:Expertise in Splunk, AWS CloudWatch, New Relic, Prometheus, and DevOps tools.
  • Strong understanding of AWS EC2, ECS, S3, and other cloud services.
  • Experience with automation tools like Jenkins and IaC tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • Familiarity with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Soft Skills:Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Continuous learner, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.


Nice to Have:

  • Certifications: AWS Certified Developer, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or related certifications.
  • Experience with: Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, or other DevOps tools.
  • Familiarity with: Agile development methodologies, Scrum, or Kanban.
