Company Description

October Designs is a boutique design practice based in Bengaluru. We specialize in residential interior design, landscape, and architecture. Our focus is on creating unique and immersive living spaces that reflect our clients' current and aspirational lifestyles. We believe that the design of a home should be the background and setting for their aspirations and lifestyle.


October Designs was founded by Priyanka, who has extensive experience in various design typologies and countries. She applies her sensitivity and empathy to create functional and emotive designs for people's homes. Our company is built on a strong foundation of experience, empathy, and ethics.


Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Interior Designer at October Designs. The Interior Designer will be responsible for space planning, service design, construction drawings, interior design, and FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment). The role is BEST suited for a candidate looking to acquire relevant training in high-design. The role will primarily start out with drafting and modelling and eventually evolve into independent designing and client interaction. The right candidate will be excited about drafting and designing in detail while putting in the time and effort in parallel to skill-up.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of work experience (excluding internship)
  • EXPERT knowledge of AutoCAD, Sketchup AND Photoshop
  • Should have worked on construction drawings and detailing
  • Basic knowledge of interior design materials
  • Self-motivates and organised: You'll be required to manage a lot of your time around assigned tasks.
  • Bachelor's degree/diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field
  • Previous experience in residential interior design is a plus
  • Knowledge of spoken Kannada is a plus
