We develop cutting-edge solutions including tethered aerostats, UAVs, and integrated command & control systems.About the RoleWe're seeking an experienced Electronics & Control Systems Engineer to lead the design and development of ground control infrastructure, automation systems, and electronics integration across our product portfolio. You'll architect mission-critical control systems, design electronics subsystems, and develop operator interfaces for 24/7 autonomous operations.This role spans multiple platforms including tethered aerostats, UAV systems, and ground-based command & control stations.Core ResponsibilitiesElectronics Design & Integration●      Power systems design: DC-DC converters, battery management, power distribution (12V-270V)●      Circuit design: Analog/digital circuits, sensor interfaces, motor controllers●      PCB design and prototyping for custom avionics and control boards●      Thermal management and environmental hardening for field deployment●      Cable harness design and connector selectionGround Control & Automation Systems●      SCADA/HMI architecture: Multi-display operator interfaces, alarm management, data logging●      Real-time control algorithms: PID tuning, automated sequences, state machine logic●      PLC/DCS programming: Ladder logic, structured text, safety interlocks●      Operational modes: Launch/recovery automation, emergency procedures, remote operations Sensors & Instrumentation●      Required Sensor selection and integration●      Data acquisition systems: Sampling rates, filtering, calibration protocols●      Telemetry systems: Real-time monitoring, data recording (30+ days retention)●      Video systems: IP cameras, PTZ tracking, ground-based surveillanceCommunications & Networking●      RF data links: Link budget analysis, frequency planning, antenna selection●      Serial protocols: RS-232/422/485, CAN bus, Modbus●      Ethernet networks: Industrial switches, VLANs, fiber optics●      Wireless systems: Wi-Fi, LTE/5GSafety & Compliance●      Fail-safe system design and redundancy architecture●      Aviation compliance: Navigation lights, transponders, obstacle marking●      Lightning protection, grounding, and EMI/EMC design●      Safety standards: IEC 61508, DO-178C (awareness level)Required QualificationsExperience: 5-8 years in electronics design, control systems, or automation engineeringMust have hands-on experience in TWO of these domains:Industrial Automation: SCADA/DCS systems, PLC programming, process controlElectronics Design: Power electronics, PCB design, embedded hardware, avionicsControl Systems: UAV/UAS ground stations, robotics, motion control, real-time systemsInstrumentation: Data acquisition, telemetry systems, sensor integration, test equipmentTechnical Skills (Core)●      PLCs: Siemens (TIA Portal), Rockwell (Studio 5000), or CODESYS●      HMI/SCADA: Wonderware, Ignition, WinCC, or similar●      Electronics: Circuit design, PCB layout (Altium/KiCAD), power systems●      Programming: C/C++, Python, or LabVIEW (Not Compulsory)●      Protocols: Modbus, Profinet, CAN bus, Ethernet/IP, RS-485Nice to Have●      MATLAB/Simulink for modeling and simulation●      RF systems or wireless communication experience●      Military/aerospace standards knowledge (MIL-STD-810, DO-160)●      Embedded Linux or RTOS development●      Experience with renewable energy or backup power systemsIdeal Candidate Background●      UAV/drone systems (autopilots, ground control stations)●      Industrial automation (manufacturing, oil & gas, power, water treatment)●      Aerospace/defense (avionics, test equipment, launch systems)●      Robotics or autonomous systems●      Renewable energy systems (solar trackers, wind monitoring)
