Purchasing OfficerAs a Purchasing Officer, you will be responsible for managing procurement activities, ensuring timely delivery of materials and maintaining a strong supplier network.Key Responsibilities:Procurement Strategies:Identify suppliers of general purchaser items such as packing materials, consumables, chemicals, and raw materials.Develop and maintain relationships with existing suppliers.Source and procure packaging materials suitable for frozen products.Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and reliability.Cost Optimization:Negotiate competitive rates while ensuring quality and timely supply.Monitor price fluctuations of key raw materials and provide market intelligence reports.Work on initiatives to reduce costs without compromising product quality.Inventory & Supply Chain Management:Coordinate with production, logistics, and storage teams to ensure adequate inventory levels.Plan procurement schedules based on production forecasts and seasonal availability.Ensure timely delivery of materials to maintain continuous production flow.Vendor Compliance:Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure raw materials meet product specifications and food safety standards.Conduct audits and inspections where required.Maintain accurate documentation, certifications, and agreements.Reporting & Documentation:Prepare purchase orders, GRNs (Goods Receipt Notes), and maintain accurate records.Update procurement data in ERP systems.Generate regular purchase and cost analysis reports.
