Job Description

We are looking for someone who will drive sales growth, achieve revenue targets, and ensure the successful promotion and distribution of pharmaceutical products with the objective of increasing market share of Raaj Ayurveda & its products in the region and maintain cordial relationships with key opinion leaders.


Position : Operations Head (B2B Pharma Sales)

Location : Delhi

Reporting To : MD


Job Summary:

The B2B Pharma Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth by developing and managing a team of Area Managers and Sales Officers. This role requires a dynamic individual with experience in product development, distribution management, and business strategy within the pharmaceutical industry. The ideal candidate will be skilled in building client relationships, managing territory sales, and ensuring efficient distribution across assigned regions.


Roles & Responsibilities


1. Team Leadership and Management

• Lead, train, and mentor a team of Area Managers and Sales Officers to achieve their sales targets.

• Monitor performance metrics and provide continuous feedback to enhance individual and team performance.

• Conduct regular meetings with team members to discuss strategies, set goals, and review achievements.


2. Sales Strategy and Execution

• Develop and implement B2B sales strategies tailored to the pharmaceutical industry.

• Identify growth opportunities and set sales targets to maximize revenue.

• Ensure effective territory management to maximize coverage and sales in assigned regions.


3. Client Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key B2B clients, including hospitals, clinics, distributors, and healthcare providers.

• Conduct business reviews with clients to assess needs, identify challenges, and implement solutions.

• Address client inquiries and ensure high satisfaction with our products and services.


4. Product Development and Market Insights

• Collaborate with the product development team to provide market insights and feedback for product improvement and innovation.

• Identify and assess new products or enhancements to meet client needs and drive growth.

• Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes that could impact the product portfolio.


5. Distribution and Supply Chain Management

• Oversee the distribution process, ensuring products are delivered efficiently and on time.

• Collaborate with the logistics and supply chain teams to optimize distribution routes and manage inventory levels.

• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.


6. Reporting and Analytics

• Prepare and present regular sales performance reports and forecasts to senior management.

• Analyze sales data and metrics to identify areas for improvement.

• Make data-driven recommendations to enhance sales effectiveness and profitability.


Qualifications:-

Educational qualification - A graduate degree in any Commerce stream along with MBA

Minimum work experience- 10-15 years of experience in sales & Marketing and at least 2 years of experience as Regional Sales Manager in pharma company in specific area of speciality


Skills & attributes –

Technical Skills:

  • In depth understanding of Indian pharmaceutical industry, customer segments, customer behaviour, competition.
  • Proficiency in sales forecasting to predict market demand and allocate resources effectively.
  • Knowledge in Pharma product/Technology.
  • Ability to analyse sales data, track performance metrics, and generate reports to measure the effectiveness of sales strategies.
  • Understanding of statutory and regulatory guidelines.

Behavioural Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Have zeal to coach/ mentor.
  • Adept at problem-solving and making data-driven decisions.
  • Good at Building and leveraging relationship
