Role Overview:

Join Acuro as a Senior Commodity Analyst to help shape our next-generation commodity intelligence platform. You'll work directly with the founding team to deliver deep market expertise across key sectors (Agriculture, Energy, Metals), combining fundamental and technical analysis with AI-powered solutions. This is a unique opportunity to bridge commodity expertise with cutting-edge technology, helping enterprises navigate complex market decisions with confidence.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead comprehensive fundamental analysis across commodity markets, combining supply-demand dynamics, macroeconomic factors, and geopolitical drivers
  • Develop proprietary analytical frameworks integrating fundamental and technical approaches for predictive insights
  • Structure market intelligence and historical data for AI model development and validation
  • Work closely with ML team to enhance predictive models, focusing on accuracy and real-world applicability
  • Monitor global events and analyze their impact on commodity price movements in real-time
  • Engage with key stakeholders to understand specific market challenges and shape solution development
  • Support product development by providing deep domain expertise and market-focused feature recommendations


Qualifications & Skills:

Required:

  • Bachelor's/Master's in Economics, Finance, Business, or related field
  • 4-6 years of experience in commodity market analysis
  • Strong expertise in both fundamental and technical analysis
  • Deep understanding of global commodity markets and intermarket relationships
  • Proficiency in technical analysis tools and methodologies
  • Experience with market data platforms and analysis tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills


Preferred:

  • Experience across multiple commodity sectors
  • Understanding of AI/ML applications in market analysis
  • Knowledge of quantitative analysis and statistical methods
  • Experience with trading or risk management platforms
  • [Optional] Programming/scripting skills (Python, R)
  • [Optional] Professional certifications in technical analysis
