Role Overview
We are seeking an Illustrator with a strong background in educational content creation, particularly textbooks, workbooks, children’s illustrated books, and online learning modules for K-12 students in Asia. This exciting opportunity involves developing a visually engaging series of educational content in cyber safety, digital literacy, and AI education.
Key Responsibilities
- Create compelling illustrations, character designs, and layouts for a series of textbooks targeting K-12 students across diverse cultural contexts.
- Design age-appropriate visual elements and infographics to simplify complex topics like cyber safety, AI usage, and digital literacy.
- Adapt designs to reflect regional and cultural nuances for the Asia region, ensuring relatability and inclusivity.
- Collaborate closely with the team to ensure visuals align seamlessly with the educational objectives and resonate with young learners.
- Develop original characters and narratives that resonate with young learners, fostering engagement and retention.
- Prepare content for multiple formats, including print textbooks, e-books, and online learning management systems (LMS)
Qualifications
- A strong portfolio showcasing textbook or illustrated book designs, especially for children and teens.
- Proven expertise in character creation, scene design, and the integration of visuals with textual content.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), Procreate, Canva and other digital illustration tools.
- Demonstrated ability to design culturally relevant content for Asian audiences.
- Experience in creating visuals that simplify technical or abstract concepts for young learners.
- Ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work across multiple project phases.
- Preferred: Experience designing content related to online safety, digital literacy, or AI education.
