Job Description:

As a Senior Solution Architect, you will be responsible for leading the design and architecture of large-scale, multi-layered solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams—including business stakeholders, product managers, software engineers, and IT operations—to craft and implement innovative solutions that meet both technical and business requirements. You will provide leadership and guidance to junior architects and technical teams, ensuring the solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with industry best practices.

This is a senior-level position where you will leverage your deep technical expertise and architectural experience to influence and shape the technological direction of our company and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solution Design & Architecture: Lead the design and architecture of end-to-end technology solutions, ensuring they are scalable, efficient, secure, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with business leaders, product managers, and clients to understand their needs, and translate them into technical requirements and system architectures.
  • Technology Strategy: Drive the adoption of best practices, industry standards, and emerging technologies across multiple projects and teams.
  • End-to-End Solution Delivery: Oversee the solution’s lifecycle from conceptualization to deployment, ensuring smooth integration with existing systems, and addressing any performance or security concerns.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Provide leadership and mentorship to junior architects and technical teams, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Cloud & Enterprise Architecture: Design and implement solutions that leverage cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and enterprise-level systems, ensuring they meet business goals while maximizing performance and scalability.
  • Risk & Compliance: Ensure that solutions comply with relevant security, data privacy, and regulatory standards. Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Documentation & Communication: Develop and maintain high-quality architecture documentation and present technical proposals, architectural decisions, and solutions to internal teams and clients.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest technology trends and best practices, and drive innovation within the architecture and design process.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in solution architecture, systems architecture, or enterprise architecture with a strong track record of delivering large-scale, complex technical solutions.
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Architectural Frameworks: Strong experience with architectural frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or similar.
  • Cloud Platforms: Expertise in designing and implementing solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Microservices Architecture: Deep knowledge of microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless architectures.
  • Enterprise Systems Integration: Experience integrating diverse systems, legacy applications, APIs, and third-party services into a cohesive enterprise solution.
  • Database Architecture: Expertise in database design (SQL, NoSQL, distributed databases) and data modeling techniques.
  • Security & Compliance: Strong understanding of security best practices, identity and access management, encryption, and regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
  • DevOps & CI/CD: Familiarity with DevOps principles, continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines, and tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
  • Software Development: Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript, with a strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • API Design: Experience designing RESTful APIs, SOAP services, and working with API gateways.
  • Leadership & Soft Skills:
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Strong ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Project Management: Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies for managing architecture projects and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Business Acumen: Ability to understand business needs and translate them into technological solutions that drive business value.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or TOGAF certification.
  • Experience in Specific Industries: Knowledge of specific industries such as finance, healthcare, retail, or government can be a plus, especially in relation to regulatory compliance and industry-specific challenges.
  • Emerging Technologies: Experience with emerging technologies such as AI/ML, blockchain, IoT, or edge computing is a plus.
