We are seeking a highly skilled
ServiceNow CMDB Developer
for one our clients on a contract basis. In this role, you will develop, configure, and maintain the
ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
to ensure accurate and efficient management of configuration items (CIs) across our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in implementing and managing ServiceNow CMDB and IT Service Management (ITSM) processes.
Key Responsibilities :CMDB Development and Configuration :Design and implement data models for ServiceNow CMDB based on business and technical requirements.Develop and maintain discovery processes to ensure accurate and up-to-date CI data in the CMDB.Create and configure business rules, workflows, data policies, and scripts for automation within CMDB.Integration :Integrate ServiceNow CMDB with third-party tools (e.g., monitoring, asset management, discovery tools).Implement API integrations to support data imports and exports.CMDB Health & Governance :Monitor and improve CMDB health, including CI accuracy, completeness, and relationships.Define and implement CMDB governance, processes, and policies.Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure CMDB aligns with overall ITIL processes (e.g., Incident, Change, Problem Management).Troubleshooting & Support :Provide expertise in troubleshooting issues related to CMDB data quality, discovery, and integrations.Work closely with ServiceNow administrators and other IT teams to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
Qualifications :Experience :3+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow, specifically in CMDB development, configuration, and support.Proven track record of successfully implementing and managing large-scale CMDB projects.Strong understanding of ITIL processes and their relationship to CMDB management.Experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, and MID Server implementation.Technical Skills :Expertise in ServiceNow CMDB and ITOM (Configuration, Asset Management, Discovery, etc.).Strong knowledge of JavaScript, XML, JSON, HTML, and RESTful web services.Experience with ServiceNow API and integrations (SOAP, REST).Familiarity with other ServiceNow modules, including ITSM, ITBM, or ITAM, is a plus.Soft Skills :Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align business needs with technical solutions.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Preferred Qualifications :ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) - CMDB.ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).Knowledge of Cloud and Hybrid Infrastructure CI management.Experience with advanced data visualization and reporting for CMDB health metrics.
